Terms of Service
Introduction
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern the relationship between Hottinga Leadership and all clients (“Client” or “Participant”) engaging in our coaching, training, workshops, and consulting services. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms, which apply unless explicitly superseded by a separately negotiated agreement.
1. Scope of Services
Hottinga Leadership offers a range of services, including coaching sessions, training programs, workshops, and customized consulting services aimed at supporting personal and professional growth. These Terms apply to all services, whether provided in-person, online, or through other digital media.
2. Collaboration with External Service Providers
Hottinga Leadership partners with other professionals—trainers, coaches, and service providers—to bring a comprehensive, high-quality experience. By using our services, you consent to necessary collaboration with these providers, who are required to uphold confidentiality and data protection standards consistent with our policies.
3. Benefits Disclaimer
Our programs aim to provide positive growth experiences, but individual outcomes may vary. Hottinga Leadership cannot guarantee specific results within any set timeframe. Our strategies are intended for educational and developmental purposes and are not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment.
4. Eligibility and Compliance with Local Laws
International Use
Our services are accessible to clients globally, yet each client is responsible for ensuring compliance with their local laws. Using our services in violation of local regulations is at your own risk, and Hottinga Leadership is not liable for consequences arising from such actions.
5. Pricing
Pricing
Our standard pricing is as follows:
- Single Session: €175 (inclusive of VAT for private clients; exclusive of VAT for businesses)
- Training: Pricing varies; please refer to our training agenda for specific fees.
- Tailor-Made Services: Prices are based on individual agreements.
Exclusions
The investment specified in our proposals covers the core coaching and training sessions. This investment is exclusive of any mandatory travel, meals, accommodation, and drinks, unless otherwise stated, and these costs are the responsibility of the participant.
Discounts
Hottinga Leadership may offer discounted rates on a case-by-case basis for clients with financial constraints.
6. Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy
Individual Sessions
- Cancellation: No charge for cancellations made two weeks before the session. Cancellations within two weeks incur a 50% fee.
- Rescheduling: Rescheduling is free up to two days before the appointment; within two days, a 50% fee applies.
- No-Show Policy: No-shows without prior notice are charged the full session rate.
Fallback Cancellation Policy for Training and Tailor-Made Services
For training programs or tailor-made services with no specific cancellation policy, the following terms apply:
- Training Programs: Cancellations up to 8 weeks before start incur a 25% fee; within 8 weeks, a 50% fee; within 2 weeks, 100%.
- Tailor-Made Services: Cancellations up to 12 weeks before start are free; between 12 and 6 weeks, a 50% fee applies. Within 6 weeks, the full fee is charged.
7. Modifications to Services
Hottinga Leadership may adapt the content, structure, or schedule of services as necessary to meet client needs. In cases where modifications are essential (e.g., due to instructor availability), Hottinga Leadership may substitute instructors or reschedule services, always with the client’s best interests in mind.
8. Liability and Limitation of Responsibility
General Liability
Hottinga Leadership is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from service use. However, we assume responsibility for direct damages arising from gross negligence or intentional misconduct.
Health and Participation
Clients are responsible for confirming their suitability to participate in our sessions. If, at any point, Hottinga Leadership determines that a client’s physical or mental health may prevent safe and productive participation, we reserve the right to discontinue services. In such cases, no refund or restitution will be provided.
9. Confidentiality and Data Protection
Client Privacy
Hottinga Leadership is committed to protecting client privacy and personal information. All data is processed in compliance with our Privacy Policy, and we maintain strict confidentiality for all personal and sensitive information shared during coaching, training, and consulting services.
Confidentiality in Group Settings
During group training sessions, participants are expected to respect one another’s privacy. Personal details, photos, or any identifiable information about other participants must not be shared outside of the training environment without explicit consent. This policy creates a safe and private space for everyone involved.
10. Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
Mutual NDA Requirement
To ensure confidentiality, Hottinga Leadership adheres to a standard Mutual Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for all individual and organizational clients. A downloadable copy of our NDA is available here for review. By engaging with our services, clients agree to the terms outlined in this NDA unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
The NDA provisions ensure that no confidential information—including discussions, strategies, or materials exchanged during our engagement—is disclosed or used for any purposes outside of the agreed professional relationship. This NDA applies to all parties involved, including any third-party trainers, coaches, or collaborators associated with the engagement.

11. Intellectual Property
All materials provided by Hottinga Leadership during sessions or training programs, including but not limited to workbooks, exercises, and digital content, are the intellectual property of Hottinga Leadership. These materials are for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used for commercial purposes without prior written permission.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by and construed under the laws of the Netherlands. By engaging with our services, you agree to submit any disputes arising from these Terms to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Netherlands. We adhere to local data protection laws as applicable, though our primary legal jurisdiction remains the Netherlands.
